Hysterectomy advice

Hi, I’m 6 days post op for a hysterectomy & prolapse repair which was more complicated than expected, I’m getting pain in my lower right abdomen near ovary & gets worse when I go to the toilet, sharp pain going into my back, has anyone else had this or should I get some advice.... thanks kerry

Hi my lovely I'm sorry to hear you are not well i had the same when I had a hysterectomy last year i ended up ringing my gp surgery and speaking to a dr who gave me oramorph for the pain and antibiotics as I had an infection so maybe seek some advice don't leave it infections are quite common after a hysterectomy please let me know how you get on 💖xx

Hi lovely thank you for your reply, if still no better tomorrow I will phone GP for some advice, were you very sleepy after I cannot seem to stay awake & keep falling asleep ❤️ xx

Yes I was extremely tired for weeks after it took me a lot longer to recover than I expected in fact I was really poorly for weeks after but it's different for other woman who have a hysterectomy please don't leave it too long though have you got pain relief xx

Yes I have pain relief only paracetamol, ibuprofen & tramadol which I take at night. I will get some advice tomorrow thank you xx

Ok my lovely good luck i hope you get some sleep tonight and ring your surgery first thing in the morning telling them that you are in alot of pain and you only had a hysterectomy a week ago hopefully you will be able to get something else xx
