Hi guys.. Well just been told today I have endometriosis ☹️. After severe pain in which I thought was my sciatic nerve, then realised I get bleeding few days after it. Examined by doctor and she basically confirmed what I have.. Been put on medroxyprogesterone for 30 days.. Anyone else been on this for this amount of time and had any good results. Thank you x

Hello! Welcome to the endo world! I am so sorry you have been diagnosed, but I'm glad that you have answers. It took me 7 years to figure out what was wrong... and I'm 18! Anyways, before I was officially diagnosed, I was put on every birth control you can think of...but not depo-vera (what you are on). But, if you want to stop your periods for 5 years, I would highly recommend the IUD! During my surgery, my doctor had placed it because I was having continuous bleeding for 6 months straight while being on the pill and also trying out the patch! But with the IUD, no periods at all and no side affects for me. I am also on Lupron injections (this puts your body into menopause) so if your doctor ever recommends it, feel free to contact me with any questions!

Thanks for your reply. I've had the coil fitted for 8 year but it's the copper one without hormones. Yeah the tablets shes put me on basically puts me into the menopause. She's only trying them for 30 days to see if it helps. So fingers crossed. To be fair I didn't get much symptoms until 6 weeks ago then this pain which I put down to back ache. Then I was getting bleeding every week and finally related it to when the spasms and back ache where appearing.. How are you coping with it all now, are you pain free x
