Since my operation I’ve been taking magnesium and my sleep is much improved compared to how it was before my op. Part of this might be due to having no pain/less bladder trouble but I think the magnesium is definitely helping too. It might be worth a try xxx

Hi,

I feel your pain and I’m sorry to hear going through it too. I was on the injection for about 5 months. To start with my mood was very low, it didn’t help I was still taking my contraceptive pill. But crossed wires I was suppose to come off this. On my 2nd injection they decided to put me on hrt as the insomnia was killing me. I was now having injections every month. So it helped with my pain and did lift my mood a little bit because I wasn’t sleeping I was feeling so tired and depressed. After a few visits my doctor thought my body wasn’t absorbing my hrt. He said most people are happy, not in pain and sleeping but it doesnt suit everyone. I guess that was me. I tried hrt patches but not much joy there either. I was told to go to my doctors and get something to help me sleep. I then started on Amitriptyline. I did find it helped me. U guess every one is different and reacts different to the drugs. I decided to come off the injection after 5 months and opp for the operation which I’ve just had. I wasn’t wanting to have 3 different drugs in my body when I felt they wasn’t working for me.

I hope my story hasn’t put you off. Like I say the drugs do work for most people, but the lack of sleep killed me. I really hope u get sorted and feel better soon.

If u have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Sending big hugs 🤗

Yes don’t think your alone. I was on Livial hrt in a green box. The amitriptyline seemed to work better for me. They said if I was on the injection a while I’d have to have bone scans. I’m Gona try the Magnesium myself as I’d give anything ago to help me sleep well. X
