stopping the pill starting zoladex

Hi, I've had bad problems with what they think is my endometriosis- pain bleeding, fevers. I stopped the mini pill about 10 days ago and had my first zoladex injection a week ago (which i believe can take weeks to work). since stopping the pill ive been getting really severe pelvic pain. Would stopping the pill make things worse so quickly?

also ive started getting really bad joint pain in my hands and hips. which seems bizzaire, I'm not sure why that's happening. anyone else get joint pain?

Hi Amy, how long do you plan to be on it? One risk of taking it is osteoporosis so I suggest you report your joint pain to your team/GP. If you’re planning to take Zoladex longer term, they should offer you HRT and regular bone density scans.

Hi Amy, I get this for a week or so before/after my injection. You should be on some kind of HRT or estrogen (I just use the gel) and that should help reduce it. It does get better so keep with it!
