Hi all, I have an appointment with a gynaecologist tomorrow and feeling really nervous about what the outcome will be.
I had C Diff back in July and ever since, in the days following my period, i get a seering pain in my left side and groin which lasts up until ovulation (we’re trying for a baby so do the ovulation sticks) and then immediately disappears. Just wondering if anybody else has similar symptoms as I saw my GP last week who now thinks it may not be endo as she says the pain would be constant and my periods would last longer - I’m currently spotting for a few days before flooding for a day and then it disappears
Really appreciate any input

endo pain can be at different times of the month or all the time dependent on the endo itself and it's location (for example if on the ovaries); it can swell at different times of the month and so irritate organs it's on. It can also cause organs to stick to each other creating pulling or tugging sensations, again these can be all the time, during certain activities or certain times of the month.
Mine for example is just around my period - I have had surgery to remove a lot of it so before that it was pretty much all the time and had other symptoms too; generally unwell, ill with colds etc lots, tired, pain everywhere, headaches, recurrent thrush, pain during sex, irregular cycles. It can affect all of our body in different ways for different women.
Some women also get a very specific pain during ovulation; called mittelschmerz (german for middle pain), it is a medical term and is known, usually only by specialists though. You could look into that too. I think I've only had it once but not sure.
