Decapeptyl/ prostrap injection side effects

Hi have had this injection last week prior to excision surgery in 12 weeks time

Just wondering what side effects anyone has experienced please

Hey I started the decapeptyl injection in April I'm on one a month for 5 months.

I had a very bad flare up of symptoms, I also had heavy bleeding in the first month after the injection along with bad neck shoulder blade and along my sternum and underneath my right breast but for me the worst has to be the hot flushes they are worse at night, but in spite of all that the majority of my pain in gone I get the odd Sharpe pain for a while the odd day and I get alittle pain around the time my period is due but I must admit I can now function a whole lot better so fingers crossed this keeps working for me.

Thanks for your reply Fioba xx so far not been too bad few hot flushes and had to rush to loo most days but apart from that ok so far ! Thanks for your good luck wishes will keep you posted x

Hey Chezzer! I took a prostap injection following a lap and to down regulate before starting IVF and ohhhh my goodness the hot flushes are insane! Take a fan with you everywhere cos one minute I'm ok and the next I gasping for a cool breeze
