The Pill Maths Question (sorry if its a stupid question)

So I have been told I should take a break from the pill every two months.

Each sheet of pills has 3 weeks worth of pills, which you can then take a weeks break to then total 4 weeks (a month).

Currently, I was taking two sheets worth of pills and then taking a break, which I am now doubting is wrong as that would be 6 weeks of taking the pill and 1 week break.

I should be taking 7 weeks worth of pill and then having a break shouldn't i (totaling 8 weeks = 2 months)?

Also, if I have been taking these breaks wrong, can this explain why I have had an outbreak of hormonal acne?

I get told to take mines 3 packs in a row which is 9 weeks then a break, actually hate having my break and was told I can't do anymore than 3 packs ideally want to do 6 packs in a row. I've always had terrible acne so I can't answer weather it's related or not x

I think you need to clarify this with the doctor who recommended it as there are multiple ways of doing it
