Hi i am 51 and have fibroids for more than 10 years now about year ago doctor give me to course of prostop to shrink these fibroids after the first 6 months injection i was ok for 2 months and again all the symptoms and pain came back and doctor gave me another 6 months and now there is just one more injection left and doctor wants me to do Hysterectomy. my question is, has anyone done it and is this true that you start aging faster and if the answer is yes what is the alternative? thank you so much for your help.

Hi, I have fibroids too with heavy periods. I had uterine Fibroids Embolisation done in February 2018, but this has never resolved the heavy bleeding and pain. I have been started on a 6 months Prostap injection course (I'm on my 4th injection) and today surprisingly I have noticed bleeding again. The Prostap injection was supposed to stop the bleeding and induce me to a temporary menopause. So far, nothing has worked for me.
