Total Hysterectomy, bowel resection and stents

Hi there after a laparoscopy a month ago I have been diagnosed with severe Endo involving my bowel and a recto vaginal nodule. I’ve been put straight on to zoladex and need a complete hysterectomy bowel resection and stents in my urethras. It’s all come as a bit of a shock as I only really suffered for terrible pain and bleeding at the time of my period rest of the month not to bad. Has anyone else had this procedure I’m particularly worried about the bowel resection and the stents. I’m at a specialist centre which is one good thing. Any advice greatly received xx

I had a hysterectomy/oophorectomy/stents/bowel excision at a specialist centre last year. They warned of the possibility of a bowel resection but in the end I didn't need it (and most women don't). Have they said this is for definite in your case? It is a tough surgery with a long recovery but I have had excellent results in terms of pain relief and have no regrets.
