Hi I thought I’d let you know how I got on , wasn’t to good , I’ve been diagnosed as stage 4 endometriosis, I will need a major op next thing is a mri then op I jus hope it’s not too long to wait xx

Oh hon I’m so sorry.

You must feel devastated.

I have seen my endo specialist and I’ve been referred for my third lap this time with an endo surgeon ; from what they were told ( photos weren’t good enough to send) it’s superficial endo but all over my rectum the endo consultant is confident he can get at it ( the one they couldn’t remove) but he’s confused why I’m bleeding from my bottom during my periods as that’s a sign of deep endo 😱 so if when he opens me up and it’s too deep for him to treat ill be referred for having major surgery too 😱

Endometriosis is such a hideous disease. Mines got worse since the first lap.

I hope a date becomes available soon and you are not waiting that long.

Have they referred you to a pain clinic to help with symptoms? xoxo

Have you had a MRI as they told me the reason I’ve to get a mri is to see how deep it all is and once they have my results that’s when I’ll have a meeting with my surgeon’s , I have an appointment start of may with my endo specialist so I will be asking a lot of questions then..

do you have your op soon? And if so how long did you have to wait ? I know every hospital is different , all I was told was months ...

xx

No they didn’t offer me an MRI scan he is going on what my fertility specialist has told him; they are colleagues.

Mine is a 20-30 week wait 😱my last two laps were only a 8 week wait. Strange how it varies with the hospitals.

I’ve contacted my endo nurse and explained how bad my period has been this month ( details on my last post) and I hope she can either give me something to help me cope with the period it’s difficult as I’m ttc 🤦🏽‍♀️feel caught between a rock n hard place 🙈

It’s awful having to wait so long when in so much pain ☹️xoxo
