I’m awaiting a date for a diagnostic laparoscopy, but I’m getting worried. The pain is getting worse and now I’m having dodgy bowel movements. I’m dropping weight and at the point I have just had enough. I could sleep for 12 hours at night then have a 5 hour nap during the day and still be going to bed ridiculously early. My grades are suffering and I have to question whether it’s worth going to hang out with friends since to me being out at 9 is late. I’m lucky to have understanding friends but I’m crying in pain daily, and I have no life. Any suggestions on what I should do?

Hi there, you are really suffering at the moment. What pain relief are taking? Unfortunately the fatigue can be debilitating with endo but your pain is probably contributing to that.
I would suggest ringing the gynae department to find out where you are on the waiting list and when your surgery is likely to be. Then speak to your GP and get them to expedite your referral which may bring your surgery forward. I would also highlight to your GP your weight loss as this needs to be addressed and they will probably do some bloods.
You say your grades are suffering, I’m assuming you are at university? Have you contacted the student support team or personal tutor? They can give good advice and if you need time off they can suspend your studies so that pressure is reduced for you at the moment.
Be kind to yourself and just take things a day at the time.
Big hugs 🤗
Im only 17 so I’m at college, in first year of my A levels, most tutors are luckily understanding but there are some who aren’t so understanding. I’ve booked in with my GP for next week to see a doctor. I have only over counter pain meds since my GP is hesitant to give me anything stronger than naproxen (which they only gave me enough for a few weeks), so hopefully I can get some actual pain relief since I have nothing that works
