Cannula issues

Hi all

I had my endo lap back on 27 Feb and since then I have had an issue with where my cannula has been. It is really painful, the veins are dark, there are a couple of lumps and I can't touch the hand. At first they thought it was an infection but over a month later I'm still suffering. I had an ultrasound yesterday where they found some blood clots. The doc said it wasn't anything to worry about and it's in the surface veins but obviously I'm still so worried! Had anyone had this?? I can literally feel the clots and they are so painful! Especially after just catching one really badly just now!!

If anyone has had a similar experience it would be great to hear and put my mind at rest/give me any tips to help rid of them ease the pain??

Thanks

Ouch I’ve had several painful cannulas so I feel your pain!! Have they given you any heparin / tinziparin / warfarin to deal with the blood clots? They’re usually pretty on the ball with clots so if tutu haven’t I’d say they’re very superficial - not helpful when it’s painful I know. If you her really concerned I’d go back to my GP, explain the pain and the clots and take it from there. Good luck x
