Don’t get yourself stressed about it. They have to urgently refer you for any breast lump in case it’s the worst case scenario. I’ve been referred to the breast clinic twice one when I was 13 and once last year (I’m 20 now). Both lumps have turned out to be fibroadenomas and even though I was worried, when I was told that they were benign I felt relieved. These type of lumps are common in young girls, not sure how old you are. But being on the pill etc and depending on your cycle you can develop lumps in your breasts which can either stay or will disappear. Mine have stayed.

I understand you’ll be worried but try not to think about it until you get there, let me know how it goes good luck xx

hiya thank you for your reply I'm 31 now. I've had a few lumps before being checked out but nothing like this one. I'm not allowed to have the pill or any other hormone medication due to the fact I had a blood clot in 2013. I'm getting married in August and concentrating on organising that so that is keeping me a bit distracted.

I’ve just been diascharged from the breast clinic in Leeds after finding a lump last May, which turned out to be a cyst. They were absolutely brilliant, very thorough and very understanding with multiple follow ups (to the point I was sick of going). I know exactly how you feel, as I have a strong family history of breast cancer too, but please try to stay calm until you know where you stand. It is as likely to be something insignificant as it is significant. Let us know how you get on xx

hiya thank you for the reply. I am nervous waiting for the appointment as I want to know what I'm dealing with. it's worrying me as I have had a letter from my gp today asking for my bloods to be repeated asap. they want my LFT, Bone Profile and ALT checked. not sure what is going on at the moment. i'm still not well from my car accident 3 weeks ago. plus in so much pain from my endo no pain killers are working anymore. can I ask my gp for stronger painkillers or is that something my gynaecologist will have to sort out.

I’m sure it’s something that can be discussed with your GP. My GP prescribed me the 500mg naproxen when the 250mgs weren’t doing anything anymore. I can’t see a reason why it would have to be the gynae. I hope you get your appt through ASAP - mine was fairly quick x
