Mirena and ovulation pain

I have been constantly getting horrendous ovulation pain and spotting which I know is related to the coil however I thought that this would subside after a few months but I have had it in now for nearly 9 mouths and the pain is just unbearable. I spoke to my gynaecologist about this and she said to just keep it in for a few more months as if I have it taken out then my periods will return and so will my endo. I just don't know what to do? x
