Feeling deflated...

Three years ago I came off the depo, I’d been on it for 5 years due to my IBS not agreeing with my contraceptive pill.

Since coming off the depo I have been miserable. I’ve had heavy periods last 3 weeks and start 5 days after the previous one has finished. I’ve had times where I’ve not had a period for 8 weeks. I’ve been so tired I’ve barely be able to function. I’ve had the worst cramps I’ve ever experienced. I’ve had 4 pelvic ultrasounds, 1 MRI, countless blood tests and all coming back normal.

The last 6 months the cramps have increased and now sex is off the cards with my boyfriend and I because I find it agonising. I’m waiting for my second gynae consultant appointment at the end of April which has already been moved back once.

I went to my GP today as my cramps have been so bad I’ve not been able to work. I expressed my fears it could be endo and cried in the consulting room. To be told to ‘take some codeine and see how I go, April isn’t that long away’. I can’t live like this until April. I’m just so deflated.
