hi I don't know if you remember but 2 weeks ago I mentioned that I was close to losing my new job due to the amount of pain I've recently been in. well they asked me this week to resign from my job. due to the blackout and car accident I had last week.
I have an ultrasound appointment next week to see if I have another cyst on one of my ovaries as I'm in a lot of pain can't keep still or comfy. in a lot of pain going to the toilet both ends.
my fiancé is getting worried as I'm getting nowhere with gynaecology in my area. I feel like it's going in one ear and out the other. one doctor told me my endometriosis is my fault for putting on weight so it's my fault I'm having this pain.
trouble is I'm hardly eating and been doing slimming world since I saw the gynaecologist last April but I have only lost 1stone. I need to lose 6 more stone to be back to the size I was in 2016. the weight gain wasn't gradual it was sudden with no increase in appetite. has anyone had success with weight loss after diagnosis with endo? any suggestions?
I was supposed to see my gynaecologist in 6 months from last April (2017) I still haven't heard from them even after phone calls to the secretary. I'm also scared that I will now not be able to have my own children.
I have also contemplated ending my life especially as people don't believe how much pain I'm in. but since joining this support group I feel a bit better as I know I'm not the only one going through this condition. I wish I joined sooner.

So sorry to hear this shellouer. Sending hugs.
If you aren't getting anywhere with the secretaries, you could contact your GP (or their admin staff) to write and expedite the appointment? Or speak to PALS if that's no good?
Private is always an option - an average initial consult is usually £150-250 - even if they just point you in the right direction in terms of what you should expect from the NHS doctors it might be worthwhile.
It also might be worth speaking to your GP about how down you've been feeling with all this - chronic pain has a terrible impact on mental health, and a bit of help in this department might improve things for you.
Sorry for the delay in replying, I have only just seen your post. I am so sorry to hear about your situation.
I am pleased that like so many of us you find this site a great assistance. For me, sometimes just knowing that it’s not just me going through this terrible time and others are experiencing it too can be enough to give me inspirararion to keep me going for another day.
You’ve already received some great advice from previous posters, but I’d like to add something about your work situation before you take any action on that front.
You should consider whether it would be better for you to resign or refuse and wait to see if they take any action and, possibly unfairly dismiss you. Which one would be preferable could depend on your personal circumstances. For example. If you resign, you could be cutting yourself off from eligibility for certain welfare benefits. Whilst nobody ordinarily would want to be dismissed, you could possibly have a claim for unfair dismissible (although you say it is a new job so this may not be possible). Can I suggest you speak with ACAS who give excellent free advice to employees (and employers) their number is 0300 123 1100 and they’re open Mon-Fri 8am-6pm.
