Clear ultrasound and cervical screening

So I’m very pleased my first ever smear and pelvic ultrasound came back clear of anything nasty.. I was really worried as the pain has been sooo bad I thought there was something serious going on inside me, but now my doctor doesn’t seem interested? I’ve asked to be referred to a gyne because now I’m almost certain it’s endo, is there any other tests I need to have to rule anything else out before requesting a lap??

I had to have blood tests, smear which resulted in a Colposcopy, ultrasound and then an internal examination with my guarnatolgiest before I could have a lap. He did the internal in my first consultation with him and then I had the lap after that. So I would guess that the lap would be next. Good luck with it all and I hope you get some answers :)

What blood tests did you get? I’ve had all the general full blood count, iron levels things like that x

I'm not sure the exact ones but defo had those ones and she did a load of hormone related blood tests but everything came back normal, I thought I was going crazy haha

The only thing which will fully confirm a diagnosis of endo, in most cases, is a lap. I've always understood that everything else is about ruling other issues out, not confirming whether or not you have endo. I had smears, and a pelvic/internal ultrasound, and then various treatments tested as they 'assumed' endo, before then I had a lap to confirm and treat x

Yes I thought that’s what was happening so the smear and ultrasound has just ruled out other things.. just hoping now they are clear my doctor stays interested as she’s been amazing and thorough so far xx
