Do you mind me asking what symptoms it gives you?

Hi Starry

No problem I have been getting pain on right side right below bottom of rib cage which seems to also refer pain round my side and into my back causing muscle spasms mostly at night on that side, really uncomfortable and unpleasant. The area under rib cage is very sore to touch , have been told I may even have endo on my diaphragm? Been getting degree of pain in this area for a few years now but definitely been worse for last couple of months

Thanks. That must be tough to live with. Have you previously had a diagnostic laparoscopy at all or excision treatment ?

I had similar symptoms but it was post operative after major excision They did a repeat mri and found a hydrosalpinx. But thankfully the symptoms have largely died down after some med changes and 6 months recovering and I was reassured they had checked for Diaphragm endo in my original diagnosis laparoscopy, which isn't always the case.

Hi Starry

Sorry for delayed reply

I had laparoscopy in January but this pain was present month before that and continued until 3 weeks after , I’m waiting for excision surgery on 8 month waiting list from numerous areas including bowel but going to ask endo surgeon at my appointment next week if they checked my diaphragm at laparoscopy. Thanks for your reply

Hope your doing ok now , take care x

Hi Starry and Chezzerl

Just picked up on this post after one of my worst nights ever. The pain in my side under my ribs and right side has benn dreadful all night. I cannot lie on that side at all and painful just to lie down. Getting up that side is tingling and numb into my side and up into my back. Does any of this ring a bell?

I am waiting for surgery in June for RV nodule and probably bowel surgery and appendectomy they are looking specifically on my right side to see how far the endo has travelled.

I am wondering if it is as high as my diaphragm, gall bladder or lungs? Sounds dramatic but I am in so much pain from my hip to under my ribs.

Any advice ideas welcome.

Hi Mcfw

Thanks for your message , sorry to hear you are in so much pain, it is so frustrating isn’t it and seems to take forever to get any answers

I was sent for ultra sound on right side due to pain , they found I had large polyps in my gall bladder but doctor says they shouldn’t cause any pain so I asked him and endo surgeon if they thought endo could be on my diaphragm but surgeon said they did check during laparoscopy but I still wonder if they checked back far enough ?? My pain seems to spread round to same area in my back , this area in the muscle next to my spine goes into spasm fairly regularly

Now have to wait up to 12 months for excision surgery ☹️

Hope you get some answers soon , keep pestering seems the only way x

Let me know how you get on x good luck
