Achy legs

Hello! I always have suffered with achy legs a few days a month however this month it’s really getting to me. My legs are so achy and sore to touch! My lower abdomen aches aswell. I feel a hot water bottle helps between my legs and a hot bath. Does this happen to anyone else? If so how do you manage it? I was diagnosed with endo over a year ago. Thank you

Hi there,

It’s really horrible isn’t it -I really have struggled with it the past few months too. Before my first op and didn’t have these extreme aches.

I’m sorry I’m not much help. I find that nothing really soothes it, I do use heat and baths. I particularly struggle in the evenings after being active all day.

I have used sports massage for back pain and that has helped but not in my legs.

I hope there are some people that may have some ideas of things that you can try.

Hey in jan I started getting an achey right knee and then progressed up my leg. I called out of hours gp service and they were going to send someone out to me. It was very painful and still now it hurts all day. I was using a hot water bottle to help but if it’s sciatica I was told by the doctor on the phone to ice my lower back to stop inflammation for 20 mins like 4 times a day and do not use heat as can make it worse. Then the doctor came to my house and told me he thinks that if I have endo that it has grown onto my sciatic nerve as this started hurting a few days before my period so now I’m back on the pill till my surgery next week to hope it doesn’t grow anymore. If it is sciatica ice your lower back for a few days before using heat on the legs I was told I forgot 100% the reason why but something to get the inflammation down first?
