I've had this for 7 years, my lap came back negative and I was told it was probably pelvic floor dysfunction and since treating that it's basically vanished, might be something to look into x

Yes I do - the textbook symptom of endo is severe pain during period but as I don't get this for a long time I thought I must not have endo but I do. I don't get severe pain really which I am obviously grateful for but I get daily mild to moderate pain which is worse around period and ovulation. It can be very draining having period type pain all the time even if it's only minor. You are not alone!x

I'm in pain everyday , it varies in intensity but is constantly there. Its been like this for over a year, i feel like i cant remember a time this didnt dominate my life. It worse after long walks and a lot worse after sex. For me its a similar pain to what you have, like a dull ache with sharp stabby pains that are crippling sometimes. Lap on Monday and it can't come soon enough. I'm on naproxen everyday now and try not to take cocodamol too often but I find I need to take that most days too to function. I'm in agony now but only have 20 minutes left before I can leave work and crawl into bed lol. You're not alone xx

I'm glad it's not just me although not glad that your having hard time. I'm also on cocodamol and tramadol. It helps but does not leave me pain free. I also find to much walking and sex makes it worse. I have my lap on the 8th of Feb as well as a hysteroscopy to remove polyp and marina coil fitted. Not long for me to wait now. I'm not worried what they find I'm more worried what they don't find. I wish you the best of luck xxx

Same! Fed up of waiting but so scared it shows up with nothing wrong! I'm the same it doesn't completely take away the pain it just makes it more tolerable. I hope you get some answers after your surgery and that it helps! Xx

Totally understand how you feel, I've started to get pain every day too. I've had sharp stabbing pains for the last few years and thought nothing of it but now being investigated for endo due to extremely bad periods. The pain I get daily is like a dull sharp pain which can hurt even when I walk, I've just got my appointment date for the end of March for my laparoscopy. Stay strong x

I am in pain every day too, severe enough to take codeine and tramadol every day. It does get much worse just before and during my period but the pain killers dont help at all. Im seeing a pain specialist soon so fingers crossed they give me something better! Just to add aswell my pain got significantly worse when I had the implant put in as contraception and the doctors kept telling me that in no way could be making my ibs worse which is how I got diagnosed finally when I demanded to see gynae, during surgery I got the mirena and again made the pain even worse so personally I think its the hormones making it worse.

Thanks for reply and I'm sorry your in so much pain. I have not been on any hormones for over 2 years now. But I keep getting uterine polyps so they think coil will help that and also if they do find endo they said it would help that to. Xxx

Hi, I am in pain every day but I think this could be down to adenomyosis in the womb more than the endometriosis in other parts of the pelvis, although I have a chocolate cyst on my left ovary which is probably causing the stabbing pain in the left side alongside the general overall aching across the pelvis. I have had four laps and hoping to have a hysterectomy soonx

Gosh you poor thing. I hope you get your lap and get some relief from the pain xxx

Thanks Amyjane88, unfortunately, I will always be in constant pain as I also have fibromyalgia but I am hoping that it will be a least a little bit less after a hysterectomy. I keep positive by thinking of others who cope with worse illnesses than mine. I still hold down a full time job and I don't take pain killers or have time off sick- people around me don't know how I do it and nor do I! I just don't want pain medication damaging my liver and my work helps me to stop getting down about thingsx
