Laparoscopy follow up

Hi everyone,

I'm having my follow up from my laparoscopy in a few weeks, with a consultant. I'm making a list of questions to take with me - does anyone have anything that would be useful to ask? Or something they wished they had asked?

This is my current list:

Where did you find the lesions?

Did you remove all of them?

Will they/how fast will they grow back?

What does the placement of my lesions mean?

What further treatment will I need?

Should I be running the pill? For how long? Do I take breaks? Are there side effects of doing this?

What on-going support will I have from ... hospital?

Do you have endometriosis specialists here? Nurses?

What should I do if my symptoms change or worsen?

I get severe bloating – what is causing that and what can I do to mitigate it?

Are there certain foods I should be avoiding?

Should I be avoiding alcohol or caffeine?

Does increased exercise help? What sort of exercise? Should I avoid anything?

Last week, my partner and I had penetrative sex, which was painful as it always is – a few hours later, I was bleeding, which stopped a day later. What could have caused this? Should I be worried? Do I need further tests?

Hi. How did the surgery itself go? Did you have any treatment?

The surgery went ok - from what I could tell from my notes (the nurses were useless) it was on my POD, uterus ligaments, and ovarian fossa. They told me they burned it off, but I've not heard anything since.
