Maybe a silly question...

Hi today I am going for both internal and external ultrasound to see what is happening with endometriomas on my ovaries. As I am having my first laprascopy next week.

I last had a scan in September when I was going through ivf treatment which had to be cancelled. This showed I have 5x6cm cyst on one ovary and around 4cm on the other and this has caused them to be stuck together and behind my uterus. They struggled to see them last time. Today is my scan prior to op next week and it sounds silly but I am terrified I’ll have the scan and they have disappeared or got smaller... I know they can’t do this?? Especially when I have had multiple scans all showing the same thing.

I think the main thing is... I have been signed off work sick (I am a nurse) because of all the pain and other symptoms making my job undoable. And my symptoms have lessened since I have rested.

I am just posting for reassurance as I am so nervous. And my last internal ultrasound was so painful.

Thankyou

Becky x

I was told they can but then that was by a hospital who told me it wasn't anything to worry about it's normal for women to have cysts! 8 wks later the other hospital diagnosed stage 4 endo! X
