i started my first injection today, and for those who have/had lupron experiences, i was wondering the following:
did you get pimples ??
how bad was your pain with the medicine?
how tired did you get if any??
any advice you can give??

I had used before Lupron after my lap and actually, it doesn't have bad side effects for me, what I most suffered from was the hot flashes and the weight gain. Everything else was great of course it differs from a person to another but it never turns too bad dnw

I did the 3 month shot. I got some pimples in the beginning. A week or two in I got horrible hot flashes, after those subsided I was experiencing disorientation and fatigue. It was hard to tell how much it helped since the side effects of the hot flashes and hormonal changes had me really out of it most of the time. I decided to do a second 3 month shot after that was done (so 6 months total) since my doctor was so insistent and assured me I would not get the menopausal symptoms again. But I did and it was a rollercoaster all over again (pimples, hot flashes etc). This was 4 years ago and today my endo is under control growth-wise, so it could have been thanks to the Lupron (though I also did intense acupuncture and herbs). But if you experience difficult side effects like I did I would take this into account when deciding to do more shots. I would not have done the 2nd shot had I known.
This was just my experience and many people have mild reactions. All the obgyns I saw said there should not have been any pain during the lupron. I later discovered a back problem also contributing, so it could be smooth sailing for you. Just letting you know in case you have similar symptoms.
