Histology report....

Hi Ladies,

Does anyone know how long it takes for a histology report to come back? I had a large cyst removed Mon 20th and was advised was being sent off. I don't know why but I'm worrying about it now I've had time to process everything.

Hello, I am not sure if it depends on the hospital but earlier this year I had a total abdominal hysterectomy due to lots of issues but they finally did one because CA125 (cancer marker test) was really high. I was told it would take histology three weeks. I was told if I do not hear anything then all would be fine. Thankfully all was fine. I hope all will be well with yours and hopefully it is just a precaution. I would have hoped they would have explained the same to you. Maybe phone the department and ask the question.

It is difficult when you just think cancer, I went to all appointments on my own apart from the one when I got my results so it’s easy to miss something etc. Give them a call, mine were great with me. I went through the cancer fast track route and couldn’t fault them. They should answer any questions or queries you have. I had the all clear thankfully and doing really well thank you
