I am feeling relieved beyond words that I finally know that I have pelvic endo! Sounds strange but I began to think am I imagining this continual pain? I gave up telling my partner that I hurt, that it was all in my back, down my legs, in my lower tummy, that I felt literally exhausted a lot of the time.

You begin to sound like a cracked record and I am not a moaner at all and I have a high pain threshold but boy has endo challenged me!

I have had years of this continual dull ache, been diagnosed with IBS (wonder if it is or just my bowel reacting to the endo??).

Endo can rule your daily life and is always the villain in the corner that some days you can just ignore most of the time but on a bad day it is in your face screaming at you!

I just so hope the mirena coil helps to manage my symptoms, not expecting a miracle but would love to be able to be in control of the endo symptoms rather than them controlling me - lets see......

So happy to have found d this site and hopefully connect with some like minded people and be able to support one another on the bad days and giggle on the good ones.....

Hey, what kind of symptoms did you have? If you don’t mind me asking. I have been diagnosed yet but I have most of the signs apart from long heavy periods. Mine are medium to light xx

Hi, my periods aren't too bad so I thought it couldn't be endo as I wrongly thought that was the main symptom. I had no idea you could get tissue that behaves the same as tissue in the womb, i.e. - it grows through your cycle and then disperses itself, thus the pain throughout the cycle as the tissue growths push against pelvic organs and nerves etc... I have a constant dull ache in varying degrees in my lower tummy and all around to the lower part of my back, I get shooting pains down my legs, my bowel plays up completely without any given trigger which is the worst part of this beyond anything else as it has dictated my world for a long long time. It was only by chance that I actually got a registrar at my last gyne appt that suggested it could be endo and as she explained everything it all fell into place.

How are your symptoms? xx

I have light periods but lots of clots, severe period cramps and lower back ache. Achy feeling in my hips, occasionally sharp pain in my lower stomach, painful sex, nausea and tiredness. Painful bowels during periods and blood in my wee xx

oh and the tiredness that I have is unbelievable, I could literally sleep standing up somedays and struggle to keep my eyes open but at night my sleep is not great.

But the tiredness is not everyday, prob 3-4 times a week xx
