I’m coming to the end of my prostap injections. Symptoms have eased with it. Just wanted to know how people felt after it, did symptoms come back? What pill you used after to stop periods?
I have had 2 operations for endo and have tried the mirena coil but that failed. Just dreading the pain coming back.

hi. I'm in a similar situation but I have two more injections to go, I asked what happens after and they said it could take a month to a year + for cycles to resume - everyone is different ( getting tired of hearing that phrase!!). What stage is your endometriosis? I'm seeing a fertility specialist so what I do next will depend on his findings but it will probably be back to back birth control pill ( I was awful on it when I was younger but I can't risk getting as poorly as I have been as the prostap has given us our life back). We found once the operation was done they loose interest with the long term management of the disease which is very frustrating. I know I can't really help but your not on your own. Hope you're having some pain free times with the prostap. Xx
Thanks for your reply. I’m stage 3 now. I have one course of injection left and don’t know what to do next. They want to avoid operating again as they said each time they go in to remove they make more scar tissue. It is frustrating as I constantly feel they are fobbing me off with painkillers. I paid private to see the gynaecologist and he said I should try the prosap injections. My GP never offered me this. It is very frustrating.
