Miscarriage

I’ve been lightly bleeding since 6th of October and last night started to really bleed and cramp. (Last full period was on the 1st of September).

Just taking two (really cheap) pregnancy tests and both are saying positive, but the clotting is really REALLY bad. I am pretty certain this is a miscarriage, as I’ve had 2 before.

Waiting to hear back from GP, as not sure what to do.

Any suggestions?

I'm really sorry hun what your experiencing is not nice at all. Iv had a few and there not nice my last two recent we're extremely early one I didn't know about one at 5 week. I think the only thing you can do is wait and see what up says with you being so early there's not much they can do. If the bleeding cramping gets too much go to a n e. Sorry can't be much help 💗🤗😘

Thank you so much for quick reply. I had a feeling two days ago, but couldn’t really bare the thought of going through another miscarriage. I’m sure you totally understand what I mean.

Last night and this morning have been the worst, but luckily with pain I can handle. I called doctor, more so she could have it down in her notes, as I would only be 5 weeks. I’m hoping she doesn’t make me go into practice today, as I’m really struggling emotionally. Xx

Bless you. I do know hun all to well where they don't phase me no more it's like I expect it to happen.

It might be something she can just talk to you over the phone about unless she wants to do your bp and temp. Ask about referral to miscarriage clinic also as this will be your third. Sending you big gentle hugs hun 💗🤗😘

ThNk you doll! So sweet of you to message me. Big hugs to you as well! X

I'm so sorry you're going through this.

I had a miscarriage in july and mine was clots- my Gp arranged a scan at EPU- I had to wait till I was 6 weeks to confirm what I knew already- I lost the baby at 4 and a half weeks. After ttc for 6 years it was the worst experience I have been through.

Your GP can run HCG bloods to see if your levels are rising and should arrange a scan at 6 weeks.

I have heard on various sites women can lose clots and their baby is fine.My sister in law lost several clots and her baby was fine. Please don't let my story worry you. I bled at my first pregnancy heavily like a period at 7 weeks and he was fine.

I will keep my fingers crossed all goes well for you Rest as much as possible..All the best xoxo

Thank you so much Jess.

Like yourself, I had a miscarriage, but about a year ago now. I would be absolutely shocked, but beyond thrilled, if this wasn’t a miscarriage. I woke this morning, still seriously bleeding, but with horrible shoulder pain in my right shoulder.

Thank you so much for taking time to chat with me. It means so much. Fingers crossed, but it’s ok if not! Everything happens for a reason. 💖

Have you been in touch with your GP? If the bleeding gets severe- ie you're going through one pad or more every hour then you must head to A and E- that was the advice the EPU gave me whilst I was awaiting a scan.

I'm so sorry you've already suffered a previous miscarriage- it is heart breaking especially when it is such a wanted baby.

If you have any concerns between now and when your GP surgery opens you must call 111- that is what they are there. People call for far less.

I really hope you are one of the lucky ladies that has bleeding and is ok.

Here if you need a talk to someone xoxo

Hi. I'm sorry your going through this. I don't mean to scare you, but I would really get checked. I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks and tested positive for 2 months after bleeding started. I had various scans in that time. It turned out I was still testing positive because I still had "fetal remains" inside me, despite bleeding heavily with a crazy amount of clots and continuing to bleed constantly for the full 8 weeks. I had to have strong antibiotics to prevent an infection and had to take the tablets to make me contract to get rid of the rest. It's was horrific, but I learnt from sitting in epu for all these appointments, that it is not uncommon. There were a few women in there who the tablets didn't work for and they ended up having to have a procedure under anaesthetic to remove the remaining tissue. You will only test negative once all fetal remains have gone. Of course it is possible that it is just taking some time for your hormones to reduce or that baby is in fact perfectly fine. Good luck to you, I know how painful a miscarriage is emotionally, we had been trying 2 years when we lost our little one and still trying another year later without success. X

I've just had this, I insisted on a referral to the early pregnancy unit and they reassured me: it was a miscarriage but it was better to know, and they were able to tell me how much lining I had left to lose. They would also have prescribed me painkillers if I needed them. I'm sure your gp won't make you go in if you don't want to. With my first miscarriage they were happy to sign me off work after a phone conversation.

Now that you've had three miscarriages you are within your rights to be referred on to a recurrent miscarriage clinic for further tests when you are ready for this.

I just read further down and saw that you have shoulder pains. If you haven't already I think you should go to a and e as I think this can be a sign of ectopic pregnancy.
