Hello I new to this but I have been dealing with endometriosis for 5years now constantly ill, finding it really hard to work! I have had every single treatment more than once and nothing is working only thing I haven't done is gone through pregnancy or had an hysterectomy. It's just getting to much now also has every single pain killer going, had 3 different specialists and now at a clinic in hull. Can anyone recommend going private and what prices are like?

I can't comment on prices as mine was part of an employment package but I got totally messed around with the NHS (being sent home in agony from hospital/doctor not turning up at appointment/ no operation notes/ op not carried out correctly etc) I dread to think where I'd be now without the private consultants/operations I subsequently had. If you can afford it I would say do it. If you call a private hospital you can enquire what the price is for a consultation and that would give you some idea of costs.
Hi, same as the above responder, I was also messed around by the NHS for several years before going Private. As a very rough guide a consultation appointment could be £100-£200 and if needed a laparoscopy £2000-£3000. Goodluck x
Hey, I'm sorry you are suffering at the moment. I went private after endless frustrating appointments through the nhs and having to wait so long for everything. I liked picking a surgeon I could trust. Same as these ladies I paid £200 for a consultation and you could possibly then be transferred to the same surgeon through the nhs which speeds the process up. Good luck and take care
