Hey Emurse!
I did have some on my bowel and my conditions were similar and kept getting worse. Mine was really bad on my left side so made going to the toilet really painful plus when it was having a bad day I would have the symptoms of an upset stomach and bloating too. I did find the usual pain relief hurt me more and would use lemon/ginger/hot water (add local honey if you have it!) or peppermint tea was a good soother. Unfortunately, until you have the endo removed you just have to ride it out! Having it removed took a little while in surgery and I went in twice, mine was cut away rather than burnt and my consultant said it was a better method. Hope you're ok ☺️
Thank you for the reply xx it's good to hear someone else who understands! And I'll def try some hot teas!! Do you feel better now it's been done? Have you had any pains since? Xx
Hey Tashaw,
I felt like I was reading about my symptoms there. My left side is worse, I also get bad shooting pains in my coxics area when I have bowel movement, sorry to be so graphic but that is the best way to describe it. How long ago did you get your operation? How do you feel now since that you have had yours done? Is the 2 times you had to go in count with your origional investigation? I am due to go in a second time but not sure how much endo I have as I am still waiting to hear about what they actually have to do since my MRI scan. They were discussing me at a meeting yesterday so fingers crossed that means that I will hear soon. I can't help but feel a wee bit nervous about it though. xxx
Hello! Apologies for the late response ☺️ Anxious isn't bad, channel that energy into focussing on recovery! Don't worry about beig graphic we all need to get better at talking about this. I had my first op for investigations and then second to remove the endo the second op was 17th July. My first week after was mixed and painful but now I'm feeling much better. 3 little scars and 2 belly button scars and I'm not too bad. Personally my bowel movement has improved and the pain has gone from that (hooray!). Hopefully you hear soon! x
I'm 8 weeks post excision and a rectal shave for a 3cm recto vaginal nodule along with bladder and ovarian peritoneal excision and adhesion removal to straighten my bowel which was attached to vagina and distorted.
I didn't get sickness, but pain can cause nausea. Bowel wise I did get issues from constipation anytime, to diahrroea every month when I came on and i occasionally fainted with pain during BMs.
I also had severe chronic fatigue, dyspareunia, intermittant dysmenhorrea, bladder issues.
Thanks Emurse. I've had a bumpy ride but am hoping that I may soon be past the worst.
