hi, I have recently had a scan and was told I had endometrioma cyst of my right ovary. I now have to wait a week to go to the doctor to find out more info and the next steps. I am now extremely nervous as the most important thing is I am trying to get pregnant and scared I won't. anyone else had this?

what is endometrioma and will I get pregnant?
Unfortunately the only way you can truly be diagnosed is via surgery. A scan is not a reliable method of diagnosis. If it is indeed endometriosis, then it may affect your fertility but that is something you'll need to discuss with your doctor. Have you been trying to conceive a baby?
I was diagnosed as infertile a few months ago (we had been trying to conceive for 15 months). My cause of infertility was endometriosis of the Fallopian tubes. I've had laparoscopic surgery to remove the endo around my tubes and I should be able to conceive now.
I have endometriosis- it took us 5 years and 10 months of TTC to be diagnosed and treated. Once I had been treated I conceived naturally the first month! There is much hope. For us it was the only cause of our infertility everything else was fine. I did sadly lose the pregnancy at four and a half week's but in six years we've never had a positive test so it's huge progress! We are trying again this month 😘
I agree with jugheadjane you do need a laparoscopy to confirm and usually the surgeon will treat the endo there and then. I don't know much the endo cyst's- I don't have them. ( My endo is in the pouch of Douglas) If you're having it done via Fertility investigations the consultant will probably run dye through the tube's. Providing tubes, sperm and you ovulate and endo is treated you have a good chance of conceiving naturally. I really hope you get answers and look forward to hearing good news from you soon xoxo
