I had one shot of prostap 3 so it lasted three months. I can't say felt any different afterwards. Still had my periods. I didn't feel any other effect otherwise. The surgeon however said it did shrink the endometriosis and made his operation easier.
However, everyone is effected differently just like menopause. You can have add back HRT if needed.
Thanks for replying, my consultant is going to start me on HRT on my third month, she said she wants it make sure I'm feeling something from it before giving me the HRT. Hopefully it works! I hope you are feeling better since your surgery
I had my first prostap about 3 weeks ago and I had it in my thigh. You have to rotate sites between thigh, tummy and I think the arm is the third one. Everyone will react differently but I felt quite sick the day of the jab, then my pain did seem to reduce - not completely though. I have been having menopause symptoms since, hot flushes etc since. I'm having a hysterectomy in October so just 2 more jabs to go! X
