Has anyone tried a low carb or the ketosis/ketone diet? If so, has it helped you?

Ketone diet
Hi - you did Dukan diet for about 4 months on separate occasions - I did it to lose weight - but was quite surprised that it did help my health too. I expected to be constipated and lethargic - but it turned out to be quite the opposite. I had energy, and was more regular. The first 2 weeks didn't feel too great (headache a few days and tiredness) but after that my body seemed energised. Monthly pain wasn't too bad either. I had to be quite inventive when craving sweet things though - and followed recipes for protein/sugar free cakes; and protein bread! Are you thinking of doing this? What symptoms do you have?
Hi I looked into it but due to food intolerances it would be too difficult but it's supposed to be good for all sorts of conditions so worth a try. Check out dr merolas as he's done some podcasts videos on it. X
My friend did it and it's very good if you have PCOS. She lost weight and it improved her symptoms.
I can't say a low carb/ketone diet helped me, but cutting down on sugar did x
I had symptoms of IBS that completely disappeared when I did a ketogenic diet with no grains/no legumes/no polyunsaturated oils.
My arthritis symptoms improved greatly and I lost a considerable amount of weight. It was hard for me to maintain long term (I'm 3 years out), and I'm trying to give it another go.
Start by eliminating all added sugar and grains.
Good luck.
Thanks everyone! I am going to give it a try for a month and see if it helps.
