Enlarged Ovary

I have been to the gynaecologist who is reffering me for a laparoscopy to check if I have endometriosis. She sent me for a scan to make sure everything is ok which it is except my right ovary is enlarged he asked when was my last period which Iam just finishing now so he has to get me back in. I was reading online about enlarged ovary and it has freaked me out now I'm scared I just have to wait. Has anyone else experienced this?

I haven't experienced this but I saw this had no reply so I thought I'd say something.

It's good that you're getting checked out and to have a possible lap done to rule out endo. They may be able to help your ovary while they're in there too depending on what they have to do for that. It's hard for many women to even be recommended for a lap so you're ahead of the game now.

It's hard just sitting back and waiting but I'm sure everything will be alright. You are on the track to getting taken care of and are not just doing nothing! It's also hard reading stuff online because a lot of these types of symptoms often point to scary diseases or problems but a lot of the time we freak ourselves out over nothing.

Try to relax for the time being.
