Seeing private specialist tomorrow - fingers crossed!!

I've got my private consultation tomorrow with a specialist!

Fingers crossed he listens and will get me back on the NHS list for another lap as he works for NHS too!

I'm not too sure what to expect, will it be similar to a NHS consult?

I'm very nervous!!

It's so hard to find someone who listens! Have you seen anyone privately? I'm hoping this will be what I need! Xxxxx

Not yet no, saw my nhs consultant on Wednesday of last week where she basically told me there's nothing more she can do for me so she's discharging me because the Lap found nothing apparently! I don't believe this for one second, the pain and bleeding I experience on a daily basis tells me difference, I'm constantly crying because the pain is that bad I'm Losing sleep and day to day stuff is just too hard work. With how small the incisions she made on my stomach I'm really suprised she saw anything at all. I'm more than fed up, I know my own body and I know it's not right. So yeah don't think I'm gonna win this one 😭 hope you do though cxxxxxx

I was the same! You have the right to a second opinion so please keep looking for a specialist. I'm seeing a specialist privately because I would be waiting 3 months on the NHS but I'm hoping he will do my surgery on the NHS!

Don't let them win!!

And the incisions would have been for the camera, mine are the same! But my surgeon only checked my pelvis, not my bowel, POD etc so I highly believe he missed something!!

Also have you research adenomyosis?

You really need to see a specialist! Xx

Am I really entitled to a second opinion?? I'm so worried that they may say pretty much the same thing and won't investigate anytjing😢 omg that's all she checked on mine!! She didn't even check my Fallopian tubes either, even tho on the scan showed them blocked 😳 I haven't researched that but I'm going to now!! I'm going to try my best to fight this!! Hope I get somewhere I really do!! It's horrible being in pain every single day xxxxxx

Hey Stacey, out of frustration and anger at the disinterest of my gp I have also just had a private consultation. I was there over an hour, had an examination and everything and he was able to then send my gp a 2 page report for them to act on. Honestly it was a completely different experience and so refreshing to get proper advice and have someone actually listen after being told a million times by doctors that I basically need to get over myself. Best of luck tomorrow, bring a list of all your questions and everything you want to talk about. Take care xxx
