Any tips?

I need to stop having so much time off work because of the pain I experience.

So far I use:

mefenamic acid, tranexamic acid, codiene and paracetamol

Heat pads/hot water bottles

Try to get as much rest as I can...

Anything else or suppliments etc? Willing to try just about anything at the moment!!

Sorry to hear this Hannah. I was pretty much the same. I have changed my diet a lot in the last couple weeks which is supposed to help - awaiting prostrap to wear off, but have a look at the endo diet. some foods are classed as inflammatories as they have estrogenic properties which doesn't help with bloating and subsequent pain eg. red meat, gluten, dairy x

Hello, thank you so much for your reply!

I have cut out dairy but this is only day 2, didn't realise that dairy is in oatcakes?! But i got the correct ones today... Going to cut out caffiene gradually as well. Just nervous that nothing is going to help, terrified I am going to lose my job :(

It'll take a while to kick in but I'm going gluten and dairy free which has made me feel a bit better. I have one cup of tea a day. Try using almond milk. We all feel like that - I'm awaiting a full H sadly, but in the meantime am trying anything to avoid the chronic pain returning until then. They can't sack you for potentially having a chronic condition. They need to understand. Also you'll find that stress will only antagonise your already bad symptoms so try not to worry about things you can't change and concentrate on things you can. x

Oww I hope having H will help, my mum says she has gotten her life back after having hers. I hope you feel better soon as well and the diet is helping. Giving up gluten seems impossible, I've already cut back on carbs. How am I not thin!? Oh yes... wine... haha. I'm still on probation so I think my constant absences could lead to dismissal.. which in my profession is really bad and would affect me getting work again etc. Stress definitely makes it worse, I feel sick right now just thinking about the meeting I just had. I will consider gluten free if its helped? big hugs back! xx

I found a supplement online that I began taking in January. I have never looked back since. I was in pain for at least 3 weeks a month. Now I only get painful periods and sometimes not even that severe. It's called serrapeptase. I started taking 80 iu x 3 per day. Now I take 1 x 250 iui per day and it's still working wonders. I also started ovulating since taking it. It's not that expensive on amazon. I would highly recommend it. It's changed my life! Xx
