Hi everyone for the past 2 years I have had chest pains, fatigue and shortness of breath and rapid heart beat. Its been particularly bad this year. I was sitting in my English class the other day and my heart was racing, had a hot flush, sweated and felt like I was going to faint. Its happened again 4 times now. Could this be related to my endo? Doctors just laugh and says its because I'm stressed.
Shortness of breath, chest pains and rapi... - Endometriosis UK
Shortness of breath, chest pains and rapid heart beat.
Yes it could be thoracic endo. I have the same symptoms and am being investigated. There is a thoracic endo Facebook group you can join. Lots of info. Refer yourself to someone else. Xx
Hi there I've had these symptoms for years and recently just had a 24hr heart trace. I've never heard of thoracic endo and I'm going to look it up straight away.
Thank you x x
Ok great, I want to raise awareness on thoracic endo, includes diaphragm, lungs and chest wall. There is some info out there. It does happen, although rarer if you go onto thoracic endo Facebook page there are plenty of women going through it xx
Orh thank you that's great. Can they check for this during a lap operation?
Yes from an endo specialist who can check diaphragm but the lungs respiratory team would investigate via VATS surgery. I'm not sure the NHS stretch to having an endo specialist and lung team which is very frustrating. You can prob do this privately though. Xx
Thank I've been bed ridden with endo pain since Dec had an mri and got a swollen fallopian (dyspexia?) tube and fluid in it around ovaries. Ovary stuck with endo and fibroids. NHS only offered artificial menopause injections for pain then op in June. Going crazy with worry about my tubes getting really damaged had no children but really want them. My labia is really swollen right into groin.
Do u have any experience into the artificial injections whether they are worth going through?
I have used holistic therapies nutrition and changing way of life to life to reduce stress. Has helped massively. I couldn't bring myself to take the injection but I know the reviews are mixed. Xx
Thank you for your reply. Any ideas for the holistic remedies. I don't really want to have the injections tbh it's just not getting any pain relief and don't like the sound of the side effects. I seem to be getting different infections all the time too then antibiotics keep giving me thrush it's a vicious circle. Do u know anything about vulvus vaginosis?
I haven't heard of it but yes fertility-sacral abdominal massageis good for endo (gentle pressure) and reflexology. Along with nutrition and NLP for pain relief. If you can practice these and get surgery you can start a path to healing. It's about balancing hormones and looking at what's not working in your life. Mind and body are linked and reducing stress is crucial. X
Orh thank you I am definitely stressed all the time because I'm so worried about my swollen tubes and really need my operation. What's NLP? Do you use essential oils for the massage? Is it to boost fertility too?
Neurolinguistic programming. The massageuses aromatherapy depending on practitioner. It uses a combination of therspy techniques and is a great support for fertility. I am a practitioner of it myself aswell as reflexology and have used on my endo. I highly recommend seeking out a practitioner near you.
Orh fab thank u it sounds amazing. You don't live in West Yorkshire England do you? That's where I'm from. X
Is reflexology good for endo too?
Yes, unfortunately I'm in Hertfordshire. Did you want me to see if there is anyone in West Yorkshire to do the sacral abdominal massage? It includes reflex. Also, there are many of us out there awakening femininewisdom. There is power in living in sync with the rhythm of your cycle. Cyclic rather than linear. there is a book coming out next month my Alexandra Pope, Think it's called wild power or feminine. She healed from endo. There is another side to endo, what is your body trying to tell you? This is where my healing is happening xxx
It can also be related to hormones and blood pressure, I know before my periods I could get panic attacks, and would then get nosebleeds.
Also during ovulation you flush up to attract a mate (I know weird) however with endo estrogen can rise so high it brings on these symptoms too since your flushing too much. I found I gave off pheromones, I wouldn't wear perfume and people would say I smelt nice, I was applying lavender deodorant like crazy too but I was told it wasn't that.
It could also be due to supplements, like ginger, it tends to make my heart race, or even medications. Make sure your hydrated, I you have heavy periods you can develop dehydration.
Thank you for your reply Hannah, I'm going to see a different doctor this time and explain it all to them xx
Hello, it sounds like you may have anaemia. Either B12 or iron deficiency- I had your symptoms last year & had really low B12. Xx
