Tips for the pain

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone had any tips to help relieve the pain. I'm suffering so badly at the moment that I can barely move and I'm being sick due to the pain. I normally use heat pads or a hot water bottle alongside some mild pain killers, but these don't seem to be helping.

Thanks

Natalie

I've had a lot of relief from having a Mirena and following the endometriosis diet.

Do you have a diagnosis of endometriosis? What treatment are you currently having?

I can't take strong painkillers apart from paracetamol but I don't take that either. Just don't like taking painkillers.

I just use my hot water bottle and it works for me. It's temporary pain relief but I prefer it.

Maybe you can ask your gp to prescribe you something stronger?

For me a really warm bath is my savior.

I turn all the lights off in the bathroom and just lay in the dark in a hot bath till the pain eases.

It has saved me so many times from horrendous pains. Not for everyone but give it a go, can help to relax you.

Hope you are feeling better soon x
