Pre op tomorrow

Hi ladies so it's been a long time coming, my pre op for my lap is tomorrow. I was just lookin for advice if there's anything I should be asking in particular and if anyone has anything they wished they'd asked that may have been useful?

Hey,

My advice would be to take a little bit of time to sit down and think about you want to ask and write it down as it's so easy to forget something!

It's worth asking questions (if you don't already know) like will they treat any endo they find during the Lap? Will they be looking out for anything else? How long do they expect you to be in recovery? How long until you should be able to return to work? How long until you can soak in a bath? How long until you can return to normal exercise? What can you expect to experience during recovery? Do they recommend any kind of diet pre or post op? Will you be given pain killers to take home? If youre constipated post op (which is very common) how long should you lwave it before seeing the DR? What are post op warnings signs that you should look out for? Etc etc.

Just remember that if you want to know the answer then it's ok to ask the question

Hello

Hope your pre op went ok mine is tomorrow I just wondered what tests they did ? Was it just blood pressure, oxygen levels etc ?

Hiya, they just did my blood pressure and temperature. I did a urine sample and had to be checked for MRSA everyone does with the swabs. But it might vary if you have any other illnesses etc hope all goes well xx
