Hello, this is for those of you who suffer badly with PMS (or PMDD). Have you tried either Cerazette, other progesterone-only pills, or the Mirena? If so, how did it work for you?
In addition if you have had an endemetrioma removed, did you get regrowth whilst using any of the above?
Hi having always had bad PMS I thought I would reply 😊 I had the mirena fitted before knowing I had endo and after 3 years of having it in I found out i had a 6cm endometrioma. I always had period on Mirena which were lighter but still painful. I think it did curb PMS a bit but not completely. I also tried Cerezette earlier this year and almost straight away it really messed with my head I only lasted 3 weeks on it so I can't say if it would of calmed down it also messed with my bladder..
Oh right, so the Mirena didn't prevent an endemetrioma in your case then... Did you have it removed? And what treatment did your gynae recommend once they knew you had Endo?
I did get it removed but I had no idea it was an endometrioma before my op, i just thought was a cyst my gyne didn't say anything about endo at the time so when she came round to speak to me she just said keep my coil in and that was that..I went onto develop chronic pelvic pain and have all sorts of issues so I had the coil out about 6months after my op and since tried prostrap, and then cerazette but I got really bad bladder symptoms so I'm avoiding hormones now as I can't cope with the bladder problems the hormones seem to make worse... my consultant recommenced cerezette it seems that that is a common pill they want you to take for endo but i am 38 so cant go on combined pill..sorry i can't be of more help..x

Have you had a CA-125 or OVA1/ROM test after being diagnosed with fibroids and ovarian cysts?
