Any advice?

Hi! My problems started around 9 or 10 months ago now. My periods became irregular, sex became painful and I was having pain on my right side of my womb. I thought I had PID - I had this before when I got my IUS inserted a year before. Turns out I didn't, I had a 3.5 cm complex cyst. The pain kept getting worse over the coming month and a follow up scan showed the cyst had grown to 4.6 cm.

Again, the pain got worse and worse, bleeding continually, and I started taking codeine, paracetamol and ibuprofen. I ended up getting an emergency gyn. appt 2 months ago & they reckon I have endometriosis (as well as a cyst). They put me on the mini-pill (in addition to my IUS). It helped reduce the pain at first, but I'm bleeding almost constantly and the pain is increasing day on day again. I have a non-urgent gyn. appt in Jan and am supposedly on a wait-list for surgery if they find the cyst still present.

I'm at my wit's ends. Ibuprofen and paracetamol do nothing, and codeine does little-nothing except induce nausea. I haven't had sex in months and I'm in pain. I am going away on fieldwork for a month next week.

Does anyone have pain reducing advice?

Thanks for listening.
