Yes,fingers crossed :) I never really understood this illness until I did some research the other day :/ I've been suffering for 7 years now and I've had 2 operations, neither worked as it came back both times. I'm now on all sorts of medication

I can relate to this, I have had 4 operations and the endo came back every time for the first three. I just had the fourth a month ago and thought it best this time to try the pill as well to hopefully stop it coming back.

Wow! 4 ops? Well I don't know if you know but there's no cure for endometriosis :( been on medication may be the best option as I told my Dr I wasn't keen on having another op as it's not guaranteed

In my case, it was treated properly. I had excision surgery carried out by an endo specialist for 3 of my 4 ops. I did have endometriomas and deep endo the first time I was operated on which I think means that the endo is more likely to grow back. From what I can see from all the responses I have read on forums , I think everyone responds differently to surgery and medication, what works well for some people might not work for others. I try to keep positive and see what will work best for me.

Really? I didn't know that :/ my Dr said if the contraception pill doesn't work, I'll have to see a gynecologist :( I've had 2 ops and it's come back both times and I'm on all sorts of medication now :/

I have read that some people respond well to the contraception pill so it could work for you too, I hope so :)

I'm afraid that didn't happen in my case, it was thoroughly excised and it grew back. It also spread to other places. However, I am probably an exception if the evidence says otherwise.

I should think it was new endo forming then as I refused to take any medical treatment afterwards and they did indeed excise everything as you described. This time I have been put on the POP to stop new endo growing (only been a month since excision) so I hope this works :)
