So 6 years ago I have 6 endometrial cysts removed I knows it backs I'm in agony, can't lie, keep vomiting, pain when passing bowel movement is horrific and also had numerous miscarriages but my gp insists its bad period pain and won't refer me!! Feel lost!!!
Endo hell: Hi I'm new here but so glad I've... - Endometriosis UK
Endo hell
Although I wouldn't generally suggest this but if the GP is not listening, try one more time, otherwise walk into AnE if the pain becomes to much xx
Thanks I am going back tomorrow once last time, I'm a nurse myself even my work keep saying that I can't be unwell at the same time every month and look okay! People really need to know more about endo! Xxx
I would persist with it. I ended up in a&e and they sent me away after two hours with 'bad period pains'. They just told me to see my GP. I saw a different one who ended up being very supportive (and couldn't believe what a&e had done). Good luck.
Welli have just been to my gp and she is referring me to gynae however will take 3 months and I am not sure how on earth I am meant to cope that long, I can hardly stand up just now, can't sleep, can't lie the pain is unreal! Xx
If it really gets bad then go to A&E, if nothing else they'll give you something for the pain. You could perhaps request an ultrasound, perhaps the cysts are back?
I would phone your GP in a couple of days to check the referral has gone through and then I'd phone the hospital. My appointment came through fairly quickly, I didn't wait anything like 3 months. 6 weeks maximum. Good luck!
