Just got a lot of questions right now... :(

Hi all,

Here's another....

Is anyone able to tell me if having (probably deep) endo on the bladder and bowels, means I most likely have it all over my reproductive system too? Like my ovaries and fallopian tubes, etc? Does it mean that that part is probably in a mess too? Or is there a chance that despite having it on my bladder and bowels, all the bits I need in order to fall pregnant naturally are actually unaffected?

Or is that wishful thinking :(

Thanks all.

Stephanie

Hi Stephanie!

I don't really know the answer to your question as I'm new to all this as well. My experience is that I have endo on bladder, bowel, all reproductive organs and peritoneal lining. I would think it unlikely to have it on your bladder and bowel but not on your reproductive organs. Hopefully someone here will have some good advice for you.

Thanks Karen. Do you have stage 4 endo then?

yes I do, I am having a mirena put in on Tuesday. The gyn has told me to start wrapping my head around a hysterectomy. I'm unimpressed :(

Hi, I have had endo for a while, was diagnosed 11 years ago. I had it all over my bowel, bladder, Pouch of Douglas, peritoneum, uterosacral ligaments, but hardly any on my uterus and nothing on my ovaries and fallopian tubes. After my lap to remove it I had two children, so for me it did not affect my reproduction. Hopefully that gives you some hope.

There is no specific pattern with Endo - everyone is different, you have no way of knowing without having a laparoscopy. It sounds like you're really stressed out about the fertility aspect (I was the same). You can get going with healthy lifestyle changes to help Endo ie. Diet, acupuncture etc. and bbt tracking will really help. I'd get a lap booked, I know there was info that pod Endo doesn't affect fertility however if it continues to grow it could make a real mess of your bowel so it'd be important to deal with it before it gets to that stage. In the meantime if you fall preg naturally then that will massively help Endo symptoms and you'll feel a lot better physically.

Try not to worry and have faith your time will come. Do all you can to improve the Endo and that will improve your chances. I know when ttc every month feels like a lifetime and it's very stressful with Endo treatment etc in the midst of it - make sure you get time to take care of you and do things that will take your mind off it all xx
