Is anybody else doing ovulation tests? My friend with ovarian cysts suggested I do them daily to see if I'm actually ovulating, as whether I'm going to be able to conceive is a big issue for me thanks xx
Ovulation: Is anybody else doing ovulation... - Endometriosis UK
Ovulation
I have PCOS and did ovulation tests when I was trying to conceive. I also have severe endo and a partially septated womb, but I was lucky enough to have a beautiful little boy (who I carried to term). I think that is one of the difficult things with the illness, most of us don't know how it will effect our fertility.
I do not take medication for my PCOS, but my friend had to take it in order to encourage ovulation. She also fell pregnant.
I just wanted to reassure you that not everyone with cysts/endo has difficulty conceiving.

Hi I used ovulation tests and found them largely inaccurate, expensive and not that suitable for Endo - my cycle ranges from 23 a 29 days, ovulated day 12 - 21! The first test you do measures a baseline and all other tests are based on that - if the baseline is started too early or late then everything else is wrong.
A better option for me was bbt tracking - free charts on Babycentre and thermometer from boots about £10 - if you don't take your temp at exactly the same time each day it doesn't matter hugely - as long as you're within a few hrs and do it before you get out of bed as soon as you wake up. My days app is also fab - both for tracking Endo symptoms and bbt xxx

Ps agree with other poster Endo does not always equate to problems with fertility, particularly if you are in your twenties/early 30s. I have stage 4 & adenomyosis, conceived quickly and now 7months gone...
Also would recommend both you and hubby giving up alcohol, both start on pregnacare preconception. I also went on Endo diet, had fertility acupuncture and lost about 3 stone so threw the kitchen sink at it essentially! Lol
Good luck xx
