Hi everyone. I have endo and have had it removed via laser under a general gyne in October. Have a few twinges and painful days but not as much as I had which was 24/7 and not being able to walk because of the pain.
For over 2 years I've had a problem with my gums swelling. I've seen the dentist and oral health wise I floss twice a day brush twice a day and mouthwash after both. I've recently noticed a pattern of each month 4 weeks exactly my gums swell to the point where I feel like I'm going to lose a tooth, my dentist just thinks it's poor oral hygiene and has dismissed it's anything else.
Does anyone else suffer with swelling gums that go down after their period?
For the week that it happens I can't eat or sleep its that painful I don't know who to see my gp, consultant or dentist.
It's hard enough going to an appointment with period pains and medics not believing me without me going in with a story about my gums swelling monthly.

funnily enough yes! Each time my Endo flares up my gum does too. I've been to the dentist a few times and they even talked about taking out my wisdom tooth because that's the area that keeps swelling! Xx
this is fascinating, it really affects EVERYTHING. Just had swollen gums and mouth ulcers for the week before my period... Any ideas why this happens?!
No idea, I've read little bits online about immune system issues with endo. I've noticed it more since the lap as I've become more regular. I also suffer with cold sores but not every month.
I just think everyone will tell me I'm being ridiculous.... It honestly is endo why else would it flare up on the first day of my period and go down just after it doesn't make sense.
I had a review with my dentist a week before it flared up last month and he said everything was perfect.
