I think I have endometriosis and have booked an appointment with my GP. My mother is a nurse so told me my symptoms align with, please can you tell me how you got diagnosed/what are your symptoms?

Hi, I get pains and hot aches in groin, hips, abdomen, inside thighs, and top frount kegs, bum checks, lower back, extremely tiredness, feeling low,

I was diagnosed with endo and Adenomyosis in March last year, where some endo was removed, I had a hysterectomy in July for adeno, and am due another lap in 3 months yo hopefully remove remaining endo if found, I'm having my first zolodez injection tomoz to see if I would benifit by removal of overies.

Go online BSGE list, and see if you can get referred to a specialist at one of the BSGE centres,

How are you feeling?

I'm okay but when I get my period it's awful! I thought it was just IBS as that's what I was told but apparently it could be endometriosis! I hope you get well soon. Nobody should have to deal with this x

I would only have a lot of pain during the first 2 or 3 days of my periods and afer having 3 or 4 types of medication for the pain it did not help at all, so my gp referred me to the gyne because some of the symptoms I had were similiar to either cyst or endo.

I have slightly heavy periods, a lot of pelvic pain that feels like labour contractions, dizziness, tiredness, i would sweat a lot as well and i am constipated but on my period i would suddenly have diarrhoea.

Next month I will be seeing my gyne for a definite answer of what it is but my ultrasound showed some swollen ovaries.

You should try getting referred as well if you are in a lot of pain dont leave it for too long I have been suffering wih this for 6 years and I think I should of gone earlier.

My symptoms are chronic pelvic pain, back pain, severe period pains, heavy clotted period, dizziness and fatigue. I also have bowel issues, pain/urgency etc as my endo is on my bowel.

I basically knew I had endo due to my symptoms which is what I told my doctor. My mum also had endo. I was referred to a general gynae for tests - ultrasound, bloods etc. Eventually they did a lap, due to the extent of it I was then referred to a specialist and had further surgery. I am at a BSGE centre and awaiting further surgery.

I hope you get some answers, if you think something is wrong push it with them. So many people suffer for years because of the time it takes for diagnosis.
