Pid is inflamition caused by std that gets left untreated and can cause scaring to the tubes and womb scarred tissue on womb or overys sounds like endometriosis as when I had my lap last year the wall of my stomach was stuck to my womb and had endometriosis in my womb which they excised my ovarys and tubes were fine no blockages but endometriosis can also affect fertility and make it difficult to fall pregnant as well as pid but depends on what areas are affected I hope that ur friend gets better and gets all the help and support that she needs xxx

Pid often doesn't cause any symptoms most woman have mild symptoms and include pain around pelvis or lower stomach area discomfort or pain during sex that felt deep inside the pelvis pain durning urination bleeding between periods and after sex heavy periods painful periods unusual discharge from vagina symptoms of endometriosis are painful or heavy periods pain in lower tummy pelvis or lower back pain during and after sex bleeding between periods and difficulty getting pregnant my symptoms are endometriosis as came back clear for pid but I still get the heavy painful periods pelvic pain and pain durning inter course but still think yours are symptoms of endometriosis if pid has been found usually antibiotics are giving but sometimes surgeons miss areas that endo can grow I think u should speak to your doctor or gynae but make sure that it's a bsge that made the dignosis as often General gynaecolgy often miss areas were endo can be hidden but if endo is severe it should be treated in a endo specialist clinic and not by General gynaecolgy xx

Thank you so much. I have a general gynea appt next week but any treatment needed I will be asking to go to Oxford bsge. My symptoms have been on going for 3-5 years now 24. I get lower back ache/pain not all of the month on & off. Sharp pain down top of both legs. Groin pain, twinges and a pressure on my bowel. Periods aren't heavy or long as I'm on the pill. I do get pain during sex only in certain positions (tmi) lol but I think I always have done. And discharge I get loads but it's clear & doesn't smell. I had an sti about 8 years ago but treated with in 6 months and had tests since all fine.
