Hello ladies, I have done a bit of research on endometriosis and got conflicting answers on endmetriosis cure. Some doctors say its curable others say its not. What do you know about it? is it curable? Some say that after treatment it keeps recurring. Please help me with what you know. Thank you

Hi there is no cure for endometriosis. Saying that excision surgery with a specialist is the best way to stop recurrence of disease.

Hi,

All the cases are different. Sometimes lapo can be a great deal and sometimes not. I know for sure that it can reoccur after the surgery.

I'm also endo sufferer. Felt constant pains and each time only painful intercourse. But this was not the initial reason for applying for a surgery. The main reason was our desire to have a baby.

Unfortunately surgery didn't work out for us. I mean we did get rid of the pains but still couldn't conceive a baby. The point was that we turned to have other fertility issues from my side. No male fertility issue at all.

Endo is rather contradicting disease. It may bring discomfort or not. I know women suffering endo but having no general symptoms at all. No pain at all - but still have no ability to conceive..

With all this endo does play a bad trick on us..

Wish you all the best x

The only 'cure' is if your body does it naturally for some reason, but I don't really think that happens very often, expect perhaps for some people after menopause. There is no medical cure, there are just treatments. I had surgery and all my symptoms eventually came back until I got pregnant. Then once my son was 14 months, they started coming back again. As long as oestrogen is active in your body you are susceptible to suffering from endometriosis. As they don't even truly know why endo happens I imagine they are a LONG way off curing it.

My opinion is there is no cure of getting rid completely. But I think it depends on a case by case state.

As everyone had different levels of it also think it depends on how long it's taken get diagnosed. As this can cause damage to tubes, womb, bowel etc the longer it takes get diagnosed.

Eating extremely healthy can help as additives in food can aggrevate condition.
