Zoladex

Hi,

Has anyone had Zoladex and got symptoms straight away .... I have a bad headache and burning up (thinking its hot flushes) xx

Hi Kirsty. Yes. When I had my first one within a few hours I had a headache which lasted for a couple of days . After a week I had a flare of symptoms, which is normal until your ovaries finally shut down. then the hot flushes started. I've found evening primrose oil and sage leaf tablets have helped a lot. I take one of each twice a day. I do find I get a headache for a few days with each injection. They have helped and do not regret trying it.

I am on my 4th month of the injections - I get headaches but find the injections have helped me lead a more normal life I am

Now on the waiting list for a full hysterectomy as my consultant said if the injections have help massively then I do need a hysterectomy - good luck x

It is the Gyni that is giving me the injections she said this will help whether I need a hysterectomy and when I went to her on the 11th February she said I do - I asked if I could be referred to a socialist centre for endo she replied this is a specialised centre!!

I don't know what to do now - I just want to be well Again and pain free! Will this ever happen or is this what I have now for life xx

Im 5 months into a 6 month course of Zoladex and within 2 days of my first injection my horrible side effects were present. Night sweats have increased significantly and my hormones are all over the place. Now each time I have another injection, I am a sobbing mess for days after.x

I am the same my hormones are every where - get some evening primrose with star flower seven seas 1000mg once a day this will help massively - i get sweats in the evening more and just put up with it now - I went back to my doctor last week who is writi g to my Gyni as I feel I should not be having my overies out just everything else that way I won't go through the change - the injection have helped massively with the pain - has it for you? Are you taking evening primrose with the star flower? Do t take HRT if offered it, I have heard so many bad stories - my mum never went on HRT she swore by evening primrose
