I haven't slept properly since my last op in October! I am now a little addicted to over the counter sleeping pills, when I told my doctor they just said 'oh dear'..... Very useful 😕

Most nights I sleep through but when I do wake that's it I'm up, end up on the sofa so not to disturb my other half as he has to get up for work!

Have you tried sleeping pills? Just short term don't get stuck on them like I have!!

I don't really want to go down the route of sleeping tablets :/

that's what I want to do but my partner wont let me sleep on the sofa and he is a train driver so he has long long shifts :/ I feel bad if I wake him up..

Might be worth trying - they are only for short term use, maybe take one every 3rd night or something?

I find if I haven't slept due to pain, over all I feel worse the next day!

Pills aren't for everyone and I need to try and ween myself off of them, just got the fear of feeling worse due to not sleeping!!

hmm true, i may try a milky hot drink before bed tonight and see if that helps got an early start tomorrow on the train early to go to London for a hospital appointment, i just feel so bad when i keep my partner up :(

I know that's the worst... My other half works stupid long hours so if I have woken him in the night I feel terrible!

Long hot bath, warm milky drink, anything else you can do to fully relax before bed... Worth a try!!

Hi there, please try to do light exercise and stay off the sleeping pills..they will cause you more harm than good. I've just been diagnosed with endo sept 2016. Had the lap but still have some pelvic/leg/back pain at at period season; however I'm managing by taking Advil, exercising (yoga/pilates and meditation). That seems to be helping. I also take epson salts baths at least twice a month. I cleaned up my diet a bit, no chocolate which I don't like in the first place but had a piece here and there, no alcohol, no caffeine, no fried or fast food, eat more veggies, low carbs, take digestive enzymes if you find certain foods make you bloated, drink filtered warm water with lemon.

good luck!

I know how you feel! I've had problems sleeping since my op in early Jan, I wake up feeling like I'm cooking from the inside, I started keeping the room really cold and that helps. Maybe figure out how to fix the stomach cramps (medication/diet change) and that might help the sleeping?

How strange, I always wake up at 3.30am every night without fail. And find it tough to get back to sleep and by the time I do my alarm clock rudely wakes me up.

I have a electric heat pad with an automatic shut off, I thought I was waking when that turns off and goes cold..

I would recommend a heat pad for the tummy cramps.

Other than that I don't know what to suggest. My mum said I should get a eye mask but I don't think that will help.

Following this post. hopefully someone has some ideas x

I wake at about 3 with sharp pains in my left side also my partner works stupid hours also. I tend to find that a pain killer called zapain helps me and I always go to sleep with a hot water bottle it's a normal thing now, when I wake up at stupid o clock I put the window on the latch put my head phones in and listen to relaxing music it helps take my mind away from the pain leaving my partner to sleep
